When scanned, an email QR code opens the phone's mail app with a draft ready to send. The recipient, subject line and even the body text are already filled in. It's a quick way to collect feedback, RSVPs, warranty registrations or support requests.
The code uses the standard mailto: format, which works with Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook and other mail apps. It is generated in your browser and never expires.
How to make one
- Enter the email address that should receive the messages.
- Add a subject such as “Feedback, Table 12” so you can sort incoming mail.
- Optionally add body text, then download and print the code.
Static vs dynamic: which do you need?

Tips for codes that always scan
- Use a different subject for each location or flyer to see where emails come from.
- Keep the body short. Long text makes the code dense and harder to scan.
- Use a shared inbox (e.g. support@) rather than a personal address on public materials.
FAQ
Will the email be sent automatically?
No. The scanner always sees the draft and decides whether to send it.
Does it work without a mail app?
The phone needs a mail app or a default email handler. Most phones have one built in.
Can I add CC or BCC?
Most mail apps support only the address, subject and body reliably, so we keep to those for maximum compatibility.
