Wi-Fi QR Code Generator

Create a Wi-Fi QR code that lets guests join your network with one scan. Generated entirely in your browser: your password is never sent to any server.

Quick answer: A Wi-Fi QR code lets guests join your network by pointing their camera at it, with no typing. Enter your network name (SSID), password and security type below; the code is generated in your browser, so your password is never sent to CandorQR's servers. Built-in camera apps on current iPhones and most Android phones can join from it.

Guests scan the code with their phone camera and join your Wi-Fi without typing a long password. It works on iPhone (iOS 11 and later) and on almost all Android phones, using the standard WIFI: format that camera apps understand.

Privacy matters here, because this code contains your network password. This generator runs 100% in your browser. The network name and password are encoded on your device and are never uploaded, logged or stored by us. For extra safety, use it for a guest network.

How to make one

  1. Enter the network name (SSID) exactly as it appears, including capital letters.
  2. Choose the security type (WPA/WPA2/WPA3 for most routers) and type the password.
  3. Add a “Scan for Wi-Fi” frame, download, and print it for your reception desk, rental or café table.

Tips for codes that always scan

  • Network names are case-sensitive. “MyCafe” and “mycafe” are different networks.
  • If you change your Wi-Fi password, you need a new code. Static Wi-Fi codes can't be edited.
  • Tick “Hidden network” only if your router doesn't broadcast its name.

FAQ

Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?

Anyone who scans the code can join the network, just as if you told them the password. We never see the password because the code is generated on your device. Use a separate guest network for public places.

Which security type should I choose?

Choose WPA/WPA2 for almost every modern router, including WPA3 networks in compatibility mode. Use WEP only for very old equipment, and “None” for open networks.

Why doesn't my phone connect?

Check that the network name and password match exactly, including spaces and capital letters. Also check that the phone is in range. Some older Android phones need Google Lens or a QR app.
