A vCard QR code holds a complete contact card: name, phone, email, company, job title, website and address. When someone scans it, their phone offers to save you as a new contact, with no typing and no typos.
Your details stay on your device. The vCard is built and encoded in your browser and is never sent to our servers. Because the information is stored in the code itself, it works offline and never expires.
How to make one
- Fill in the fields you want to share. Only the name is required.
- Use the international phone format (e.g. +44 20 7946 0958) so it works across borders.
- Download SVG for your business card printer, or PNG for your email signature.
Static vs dynamic: which do you need?
| Feature | Static (free) | Dynamic (paid) |
|---|---|---|
| Price on CandorQR | Free forever | Pro $7/mo ($59/yr), Business $15/mo ($129/yr) |
| Edit the destination after printing | No | Yes |
| Scan analytics | No | Daily scans, country, device (no IPs stored) |
| Works without our servers | Yes | No, uses a short redirect link |
| Expiry | Never | While subscribed, plus 12 months after cancel |
| Account needed | No | Yes |
Tips for codes that always scan
- Every extra field makes the code denser. On a small business card, share only the essentials.
- Print vCard codes at least 2.5 cm (1 in) wide, and use error correction level M or Q.
- Want to update your details without reprinting cards? Use a dynamic code that points to an online profile page.
FAQ
Does a vCard QR code work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The built-in camera apps on iOS and Android read the vCard 3.0 format and offer “Add to Contacts”.
Do you store my contact details?
No. The code is generated entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is transmitted to us.
Can I edit a vCard QR code later?
The contact data is part of the image, so changes need a new code. If you expect changes, link a dynamic code to a contact page instead.
