Paste a web address and you get a scannable QR code right away. A static URL QR code stores the link itself, so it works without our servers. It keeps working as long as the website is online, with no account, no trial and no expiry date.
If you might need to change the destination after printing (a seasonal landing page, a campaign that moves, a broken link on a box you already shipped), use a dynamic code. It points to a short link you can edit at any time and shows how many people scanned it.
How to make one
- Paste your link (https:// is added automatically if you leave it out).
- Pick colors, add a logo or a call-to-action frame such as “Scan to visit”.
- Test the code with your phone camera, then download SVG for print or PNG for screens.
Static vs dynamic: which do you need?

| Scan analytics | No | Daily scans, country, device (no IPs stored) |
| Works without our servers | Yes | No, uses a short redirect link |
| Expiry | Never | While subscribed, plus 12 months after cancel |
| Account needed | No | Yes |
Tips for codes that always scan
- Shorter URLs make simpler, easier-to-scan codes. Remove tracking parameters you don't need.
- Print at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 in); for posters, size the code at about one tenth of the scanning distance.
- Keep a quiet zone (empty margin) around the code; don't let design elements touch it.
FAQ
Do static URL QR codes expire?
No. The link is encoded directly in the pattern, so the code works for as long as the destination website exists. We can't switch it off, and nobody else can either.
Can I change the link after printing?
Not with a static code: the URL is part of the image. Choose a dynamic QR code (Pro plan) if you want to edit the destination later.
Is SVG or PNG better?
SVG is a vector format that stays sharp at any size and is best for print. PNG is best for websites, slides and social media.
