CandorQR Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Accessibility adjustments have been made on this website. CandorQR is operated by HevraBest Group Ltd (company no. 517045183), Israel.
We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to create and manage QR codes on CandorQR independently. This statement is published under regulation 35 of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, made under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998.
Standard and conformance level
- Target: Israeli Standard SI 5568 (web content accessibility guidelines, based on W3C WCAG 2.0) at level AA, as required by regulation 35. We also test against the newer WCAG 2.2 level AA, which covers the European EN 301 549 / European Accessibility Act requirements and the accessibility expectations under the US ADA.
- Status: partially conformant. Our own testing found no known level AA failures on the pages listed below, but the site has not yet been reviewed by an independent accessibility expert or tested by screen-reader users, so we don't claim full conformance.
- We don't use an accessibility overlay or plug-in. Accessibility is built into the site's code.
What we checked, and when
Last review: 19 October 2026, by the CandorQR team.
- Pages and flows: the home page and QR code generator, all generator pages, pricing, help center and help chat, contact, about, press, status, abuse report, comparison pages, legal pages and API docs; sign-up, log-in and magic-link pages; and, signed in, the dashboard, code editor and scan statistics, bulk creation, billing, cancellation, account, API and referral pages.
- Automated: axe-core (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A/AA rules) on every page above, on phone (360 and 390 px) and desktop (1280 px) screens. These checks run on every code change and block a release on serious problems.
- Manual and scripted: keyboard-only use with visible focus; skip link, landmarks and heading order; form labels and error messages; colour contrast (at least 4.5:1 for text); target size (at least 24 × 24 px, 44 px on phones); text resized to 200% and reflow at 320 px width without sideways scrolling; iPhone (Safari/WebKit) widths 375–430 px; focus handling and announcements in the help chat; and the reduced-motion setting.
Accessibility adjustments made
- Semantic page structure (header, navigation, main, footer), one main heading per page with headings in order, a “Skip to content” link and a page language.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline and no keyboard traps.
- Every form field has a visible label. Errors are described in text and announced to screen readers, never shown by colour alone.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1. Links inside text are underlined.
- Large touch targets on phones. Form text is 16 px, so iPhones don't zoom unexpectedly.
- The page can be zoomed to 200% and used on narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.
- QR editor: every colour picker also has a text field for a hex colour code (for example #1a2b3c). Every option is a labelled button or radio button, and the preview has a text description.
- Help chat: focus moves into the chat when it opens and back to the Help button when it closes (Escape also closes it). New replies are announced to screen readers.
- Scan statistics: the daily chart has a text summary and a table of the same numbers.
- Animations and transitions are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion. Nothing on the site flashes.
- Images have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
Known limitations
- QR codes are visual by nature. Each preview has a text alternative, and the content of the code is the text you typed in the labelled form next to it. Downloaded PNG, SVG, PDF and EPS files are graphics for printing; PDF exports aren't tagged documents.
- Payment checkout (third-party content, regulation 35B): the checkout window is provided by our reseller Paddle.com, and we don't control its accessibility. If you can't complete a purchase there, email us and we'll help you subscribe another way.
- Native colour picker: its look and keyboard support depend on your browser. The hex text field next to it is the accessible alternative.
- We haven't yet tested with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, TalkBack) by users with disabilities, or had an independent expert audit. Both are planned.
