Happy customers rarely search for your business just to leave a review. A QR code at the till, on the receipt or on the table opens your Google review box in one scan, which removes most of the effort.

Paste your Google Place ID (it starts with “ChIJ”) or the “Ask for reviews” link from your Google Business Profile. We build the official write-review URL for you. You can find your Place ID with Google's free Place ID Finder.

How to make one

  1. In Google Business Profile, choose “Ask for reviews” and copy the link, or look up your Place ID.
  2. Paste it below. A “Review us on Google” frame is already applied.
  3. Print it near checkout, on receipts or on table tents, and ask customers in person too.

Tips for codes that always scan

  • Don't offer incentives for reviews. It's against Google's policies and can get reviews removed.
  • Place the code where customers wait, such as the counter, the table or the packaging insert.
  • A dynamic code lets you switch to a new location's link later and shows how many people scanned.

FAQ

Where do I find my Google Place ID?

Search your business in Google's Place ID Finder (developers.google.com/maps/documentation/places/web-service/place-id) and copy the ID that starts with ChIJ. You can also paste the review link from your Business Profile.

Does the code open the review form directly?

Yes. The write-review URL opens the star-rating dialog in Google Maps or Search on most phones.

Can I track how many people scanned it?

Static codes can't be tracked. A dynamic code (Pro) counts scans by day, country and device type, without storing any personal data.
