A logo in the middle of a QR code makes it recognisable and gets more scans, but it also covers part of the pattern. QR codes have built-in error correction that can rebuild missing pieces, so when you add a logo this generator switches error correction to High (about 30% of the code can be damaged or covered) and keeps the logo to a safe size.
Every design is test-scanned right in your browser as you edit, and you get a warning if the logo, colors or shapes make it hard to read. Your uploaded logo never leaves your device: it is drawn into the code locally and isn't stored on our servers.
How to make one
- Enter your link or other content.
- Open the Logo section and upload your logo (PNG, JPG or SVG) or pick a preset icon. Adjust the logo size and the safe padding around it.
- Wait for the “Test-scanned” check, scan it with your phone too, then download SVG, PDF or PNG.
Static vs dynamic: which do you need?
| Feature | Static (free) | Dynamic (paid) |
|---|---|---|
| Price on CandorQR | Free forever | Pro $7/mo ($59/yr), Business $15/mo ($129/yr) |
| Edit the destination after printing | No | Yes |
| Scan analytics | No | Daily scans, country, device (no IPs stored) |
| Works without our servers | Yes | No, uses a short redirect link |
| Expiry | Never | While subscribed, plus 12 months after cancel |
| Account needed | No | Yes |
Tips for codes that always scan
- Use a simple, high-contrast version of your logo, ideally on a white background or with a white margin around it.
- Keep the logo under about a quarter of the code's width. Bigger logos cover too much of the pattern.
- Shorter content (a short URL) gives fewer, bigger modules, which leaves more room for a logo.
FAQ
Does a logo stop the QR code from working?
Not if it is sized sensibly. The generator uses High error correction with a logo and test-scans the result. If the check fails, make the logo smaller or increase contrast.
Is my logo uploaded anywhere?
No. The logo is processed in your browser and embedded into the downloaded file. Saved dynamic-code designs only keep preset logos, not your uploads.
Can I add a logo for free?
Yes. Logos, colors, shapes and frames are free on static codes, with no watermark.
Can I change the link later?
With a dynamic code, yes: the logo design stays, and you change where the code points from your dashboard.
